Do I need to record against a green screen?
A green screen is not required. A clear subject, even lighting, and a background that contrasts with hair and clothing can make the separation easier. Busy scenes and motion blur may need closer review.
Can I change the background after removing it?
This tool removes the background. To add a different scene afterward, use a video editor compatible with your downloaded output.
Can I download a transparent video?
Do not assume every video export includes transparency. Check the available output controls in Create before starting a project that requires an alpha channel. For a transparent still image, use Image Background Remover.
Is video background removal free?
Processing uses diamonds or credits. The cost depends on the selected clip duration and current pricing. Review the displayed amount in Create before submitting.
Which clips should I start with?
Try a short clip with one clearly visible person. Avoid heavy motion blur, a face or body hidden behind objects, and clothing that blends into the background. Check the upload limits shown in Create for your file.
What if processing takes a while?
Follow the task status in Create or check your generation history. If the connection drops, check for the existing task before submitting the same clip again. Processing time varies with the clip and queue.
